It's cheesy, it's got lame writing, some of the CG animation looks like it came from 5 years ago, but cheesy sci-fi is what I'm all about.
If you haven't seen or heard of Tin Man, it's a three part mini-series that the Sci-Fi Channel recently made. It's basically the Wizard of Oz, only darker and steam punk, but still pretty light hearted.
From left to right: Raw (cowardly lion, only not entirely a lion and can read minds! *gasp*) Glitch (scarecrow, only not a scarecrow, but literally a guy who got his brain taken away because he knew too much) DG (Dorthy, only older and cooler, not so girlie) and Cain (Tin Man, obviously not really a tin man, but he's an ex-cop, and they refer to cops as 'Tin Men'...also they kind of find him in a scuba suit where he has to watch a hologram of his wife and son being beaten and taken away over and over again....did I mention who ever wrote this is my hero?) I know, sounds amazing doesn't it. But seriously, awesome show if you appreciate good 'ol cheesy sci-fi writing, and neat characters.
Anyway, whole reason I wanted to watch it in the first place was because I love Alan Cumming (Glitch) and Zooey Deschanel (DG), plus I always liked The Wizard of Oz, and Wicked is sweet, book and musical wise.
So yeah, I wanted to post the sketch first before I started getting to far in the colouring because I tried my best to get them to look like the actors, and get the expressions to reflect there characters, and I don't know if I accomplished that....
Wow! That is really good, and you did a great job at making them look like the actors. You should totally color it. And I agree, Tin Man is such a great show, even with the crappy CG animation is cheesy. I love Glitch the best!
and PS... their expressions match their character very well. They look sort of lost, which they are, and they're all looking in different directions, like at the different things they all seek. Great job! <3
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it And I'm coloring it as we speak
Glitch is definately my favorite too, Alan Cumming is too good I'm glad they match the characters though, I was afraid Glitch wasn't....'Glitch' enough haha

Dubbed Anime is like a nice pizza with dog poop on it. There still might be a tastey pizza underneath, but I've lost my appetite for it.

This is probably one of the first TV shows or movies that I've seen in a really long time that have just had really good characters, I'm crossing my fingers for a sequel haha
I completely agree; the characters were so well-written (give or take a bad pun here and there). And that is really hard to find these days.
And I'm with ya on the sequel. They said its a possibility, to make it into an actual series, but there's a big debate going on between the creators on whether or not they wanna do it.
